Vậy Bitcoin Email Scam là gì? Đó là một thông báo email tuyên bố rằng người nhận đã xem các trang web người lớn và yêu cầu tiền chuộc thông qua Bitcoin để giữ cho điều này không bị công khai.

Email scam gần đây mà những người dùng nhận được yêu cầu thanh toán tiền chuộc $ 750 (Với BTC là: 18pKQ88ZpatLYmyeKpuCFwvRFcjHjwVB2u). Nhìn chung nội dung email tương tự như dưới đây:

Subject: Your account has been hacked! You need to unlock.
I'll begin with the most important.
I hacked your device and then got access to all your accounts... Including [EMAIL ADDRESS].
It is easy to check - I wrote you this email from your account.
And at the moment of hacking your account ([EMAIL ADDRESS]) had this password: [PASSWORD]
Moreover, I know your intim secret, and I have proof of this.
You do not know me personally, and no one paid me to check you.
It is just a coincidence that I discovered your mistake.
In fact, I posted a malicious code (exploit) to an adult site, and you visited this site...
While watching a video Trojan virus has been installed on your device through an exploit.
This darknet software working as RDP (remote-controlled desktop), which has a keylogger,

Xin đừng lo lắng quá nhiều, email này không có gì hơn một email lừa đảo. Những kẻ lừa đảo đã lấy mật khẩu và địa chỉ email liên quan của bạn từ “Data Breach Dumps” và đang sử dụng nó để khiến bạn lo lắng và hoảng sợ.

Dạng scam email này có 1 điều đặc biệt đó là địa chỉ email người gửi là chính bạn và người nhận cũng là chính bạn.

Điều này khiến bạn không khỏi lo lắng đúng không? Nếu bình thường bạn nhận được các email scam dạng:
  • Địa chỉ email người gửi gần giống email của bạn hoặc đồng nghiệp
  • 1 email rác với nội dung nghiêm trọng và quan trọng: dạng hoá đơn, thanh toán…
  • 1 email rác với đường link đính kèm: đăng kí, đăng nhập, xác nhận …

“Your account has been hacked! You need to unlock” – là 1 dạng biến thể mới. Nó đã dùng 1 email giả mạo với tên hiển thị giống như email của bạn rồi gửi cho chính bạn. Khiến bạn lầm tưởng rắng nó đã kiểm soát email hoặc máy tính của bạn.

 Ví dụ: Email của bạn là: nguyenvana@gmail.com tên hiển thị là Nguyễn Văn A
Email giả mạo gửi cho bạn 1 email với bố cục như sau:

nguyenvana@gmail.com[mailto:nguyenvana@gmail.com] => Đây là email giả mạo với tên hiển thị giống như email của bạn. Cực kỳ tinh vi

Bạn nên làm gì khi nhận được email với nội dung: “Your account has been hacked! You need to unlock”
  • Điều đầu tiên là đừng hoảng sợ và đừng trả bất kì một phí nào cho hacker.
  • Thay đổi password của bạn ngay lập tức. Đặt mật khẩu mạnh với: kí tự thường, số, chữ hoa và đặc biệt. Mật khẩu > 8 kí tự
  • Nếu email của bạn có chế độ xác thực 2 lần. Thì bạn nên cài đặt đăng nhập email với xác thực 2 lần.
  • Đối với email mới không nên để mật khẩu mặc định, bạn hãy đặt mật khẩu mới cho riêng mình nhé
  • Báo cáo tình trạng cho người phụ trách IT nếu có
  • Quét virus trên máy tính bằng các phần mềm diệt virus chuyên biệt
  • Cài đặt các tool, phần mềm chống lừa đảo
