Bkav Unveils BkavGPT: A Vietnamese AI Assistant Tackling Problems OpenAI and Google Haven't Solved

Vietnamese security firm Bkav has just announced BkavGPT, an AI-powered digital assistant built on generative AI technology. What's interesting here is the company's bold claim about solving accuracy issues that even the biggest players in AI haven't cracked.
The first hints about BkavGPT surfaced earlier this year when Bkav GPT Corporation was officially registered on January 22, 2024.

According to Bkav CEO Nguyễn Tử Quảng, the company has already integrated GPT technology to improve spam filtering on mobile devices. Beyond that, Bkav's AI system has found applications in cattle management, forest fire prevention, and construction site monitoring. The CEO expressed confidence that "Vietnam can become the world leader in AI," particularly in the realm of "applied AI."
Bkav positions BkavGPT primarily as a document management and retrieval tool. Rather than targeting everyday consumers like ChatGPT, the platform aims squarely at government agencies and enterprises dealing with massive volumes of regulations, decrees, and administrative documents.
Here's where things get bold: Bkav claims BkavGPT will deliver responses that are not just accurate, but "faster and more precise than consulting a veteran specialist." The real concern is whether this promise is realistic.
Industry giants like OpenAI and Google deliberately avoid guaranteeing the accuracy of their generative AI outputs. If Bkav's claims hold up, this could represent a genuine breakthrough. But there's a crucial difference in stakes: ChatGPT and Gemini serve general consumers, so occasional errors might only affect a handful of individuals. BkavGPT, deployed across government and enterprise sectors, would have far wider impact from any mistakes.
For now, Bkav has released only an announcement. No technical details have been shared, and the assistant's user interface hasn't been shown publicly.

Official Statement from Bkav: Successful Development of an Intelligent Digital Assistant Government agencies, organizations, large conglomerates, and corporations currently manage enormous volumes of regulatory documents, administrative guidelines, decrees, and circulars—sometimes tens of thousands of files they must comply with daily. To ensure proper implementation and correct citation, these organizations typically maintain teams of veteran specialists who can recall specific regulations and resolutions from memory when needed. The problem: when these experts retire or leave, organizations face a critical gap with no obvious replacement. An intelligent digital assistant could fill this role—and it's desperately needed. Bkav has successfully developed an intelligent digital assistant using generative AI technology. The assistant communicates naturally in Vietnamese and can answer virtually any user question with instant, accurate responses—faster and more precise than consulting a long-time specialist. Trần Nhân Anh, CEO of Bkav GPT, commented: "AI is the cornerstone of the fourth industrial revolution, comparable to the invention of electricity or the internet—it can reshape the world and every production method. This digital assistant is a pioneering product bringing AI technology closer to everyone." Deploying an intelligent digital assistant helps accelerate digital transformation for government agencies and enterprises while creating new opportunities and lasting value for society as a whole. |
