In January 2020, Google announced some major changes affecting Google rankings, and many Bloggers encountered a bug in Google Search Console. If you have a Blog and you get a message in the Google Search Console admin panel about a Breadcrumbs issue then read this article. And fortunately we have handled it successfully.
A few days earlier in January 2020, I received an email from Google Search Console about some Breadcrumbs issues. I opened my Google Search Console page and came up with this error message as shown in the image below.

As of April 6, 2020, Google announced that it will no longer support the data-vocabulary.org schema. And you must fix them on Breadcrumbs.


How to do:

Fix “Breadcrumbs items detected”

 

Fixed “Breadcrumbs items detected” error for Blogger on Google Search Console
Step 1: Visit your Blog. Go to Theme function. Then select Edit HTML as below:

Step 2: Press Ctrl + F (search), enter the word data-vocabulary in the search box and press Enter

Results returned when searching

Step 3: Please define all lines of code containing this phrase. If possible, check mark to be sure.
Step 4: 

All you need to do is just carefully replace http://data-vocabulary.org/Breadcrumbs or http://data-vocabulary.org/# with the following link: http : //schema.org/ Breadcrumbs

Step 5: Click on Save themes after completing the replacement.
Step 6: Visit Google Search Console to check. Check by the following:

  • On the Google Search Console admin panel, click on URL inspection. Paste the link of the article that Google reported error. Press Enter
  • At this time, the returned results will remain the same (means still error). But don't be disappointed, because your articles have been indexed by Google before. It still hasn't updated the latest information that you just edited.
  • Please use the TEST LIVE URL function as below, to test the live result. That really helps you check for errors or not. The results are as you would expect below:

  Breadcrumbs bug has been successfully fixed

  • Finally, edit and apply to all error articles and Google Search Console has reported.
